How to create File Screen Exception

File Screen Exception

 Go to Start > Click “File Server Resource Manager” under Windows Administrative Tools to open the console.

In FSRM Console, expand “File Screening Management” and Select “File Screen”.

Click “Create File Screen Exception” to open the console.

  • Set the File Screen Path (Share path or the folder location where we need to block).
    1. Note: You can’t apply the exception on the folder where the screen rule was created, either it should be on the sub-folder or the file screen rule itself.
  • File Groups (You can select the existing groups which is listed or you can click “Create” to customize the rule).
  • Click Ok

Now the exception will override all the existing rule in the folder or sub-folders.
